AustLII's 2025 End of Year Appeal - Please continue to support us |
Thank you to everyone who has already responded to our 2025 Appeal. Your support helps millions of people find and understand the law, and it is a powerful affirmation of AustLII’s mission.
This year, AustLII celebrated its thirtieth anniversary. Our founding mission remains the same: to provide comprehensive, free, and anonymous access to the law for all. Today, AustLII is Australia’s most accessed online free-access resource for Australian legal information, serving over 450 million page requests annually (that's more than 1.2 million every day) from more than 10 million distinct hosts.
AustLII is essential national infrastructure supporting research, justice, and the rule of law. Free access to law means our service is free for everyone but it is not free to build, maintain, and improve. Delivering the service that users expect requires funding for staff and continuous upgrades to hardware and systems.
We do not seek user access subscriptions or advertising because they conflict with our free-access principles. Instead, we ask those who use, publish through, or benefit from AustLII to make a financial contribution that reflects its value to you and to the Australian community.
Donations are our core income. If our users don’t fund us, no one else will. We rely on your support so you can rely on AustLII.
Thank you for your support.
